her own stuff is pretty hit and miss in my opinion (hear that? MY OPINION)
covers is what she's really good at, and duets

Elite Hotel and Pieces of the Sky have some great tunes on it.. any record with the hot band is muscially good (any record with James Burton playing guitar is fucking great in my opinion)
last few albums are fucking awful - very adult contemporary

Wrecking Ball is great, so is Red Dirt Girl. The live shows for those album tours were fantastic.

I saw her perform at the State Theatre a few years back. The night was memorable not only for the entertaining performance and quality band playing such great songs, but also because I ran into Kerry O'Brien in the toilets and noticed he failed to wash his hands before exiting.
If you ever meet Kerry O'Brien DO NOT SHAKE HANDS with him.

I've seen her play with the Red Dirt Boys a couple of times and it's worth the dough for sure! She delves in the back catalogue quite a bit.
hungryhungryhippo, it depends if you dug her last 3 releases you may like it. Certainly not a grower for me. I'm generally not a fan of her writing. Much prefer Emmylou covering other's songs.
I hear you, reckon she did some good things on Red Dirt Girl though but yep, the covers are where it's at.
