slaps forehead
Oh fuck yeah thats hot!
This looks hi-larious. I for one am looking forward to getting trashed at the Palms and checking this out. Band is Charlie Owen, James Cruickshank, Joel Silbersher, Pat Bourke and Gus Agars and they apparently do 'classic covers': Toto, Dr Hook, Eric Carmen, Hall and Oates etc.
The record is AMAZING! I think it's the organ playing that tips me over the edge, personally.
best venues ever.
Haha...loking forward to hearing it. Is it out yet the album?
crap, in melbourne for the syd show and vice versa.
tex doing i'm not in love on youtube
Album is called 'No. 1's & No. 2's' (ahem).
Out Oct 11, according to Tex's MySpaz.
discovery in darwin? oh, be careful tex.
Question posed on Saturday night in between bands at Flip Out! - ''when did Hall and Oates become cool?'' Maybe when Tex decided to cover them?
wtf hall and oates were uncool?????
Thats fuckinin awsome anon....i wish he was my dad
Ok, who's sayin' Hall & Oates are uncool?
This is how a boy band should be
I've heard a leak of the album. I don't know how many times I'll play this. It's like being told the same joke, over and over again.
I wanna hear the album.
Starcity?! I'M SOLD!
got no intention of getting the album, but the live show will be worth it.

On 702 ABC sydney this morning with adam spencer. Pretty smooth I must say.
I thought someone would get onto this sooner or later!
that was great.
Brought a friend along last night who'd never seen Tex Perkins perform, and I quote him...
''I can feel him undressing me through his sunglasses''.
i've had that Dr Hook song stuck in my head all day
'When your body has had enough of me and you’re laying flat out on the floor, when you think I’ve loved you all I can, I’m gonna roll you over and love you a little bit more’
SO WHO'S GOING TO THE PALMS ON SUNDAY! WOO! SHOULD BE FUCKING FUNNY.
I was going to go to the Star City gig... but $50 is a bit much for a joke band.
I will sit at home and chuckle wholeheartedly at the thought of the tunes, but.
pst, head to espy on thursday night, don't tell anyone i told you.
nice one.
Whats My Love Like? I love that song
Its about linda's cooking!
hoi crackwhore, if one was to be in the vicinity of the espy tonight, what time would one be inclined to head in, and which bar would one most likely want to drink in?
I just went and bought a noice top for my outing to the Palms tonight.
It might make Tex want to sex you! Woo-hoo!
I doubt it! But it's got a kinda 80s bogan chic feel to it which I feel is entirely appropriate for the evening.
I finally made it to this after getting lost in hell aka the Crown complex.
Twas fun and very silly. My favourite bit was when Bennie and the Jets segued into the Pina Colada Song.
And, as always, Tex is Sex. Why aren't there more men like him around? It's fucking bullshit really. Cruel!
Wow, this was eleventy shades of wrong in the best possible way.
I particularly enjoyed the sight of Tex belting out 'Three Times a Lady' flanked by two drag queens, some awesome rock god guitar solos from Charlie Owen and the gratuitous hi-fiving that went on after most of the songs.
I'm kinda relieved that George Harrison will never know what the boys have done to 'My Sweet Lord'. And they absolutely slaughtered 'Wouldn't It Be Good'.
Top night of entertainment.
PS: poster, glad you found your car! x
just seen himself with charlie owen and james cruikshank, doing a lowkey set at the dale.
anything finishing with the beasts 'psycho' has to be considered damn fine.
After seeing the filmclip for I'm Not In Love on the weekend, my decision not to attend was one I celebrated. I appreciate the joke, but I think I would have been praying for death by the end.
Fixed it.
