fly out.
throw poo at tourists.
get smashed
my friends 40th
we have a winner, and another, but really...
Stroll through the brunswick st mall or relax in one of the many outdoor cafes while enjoying live performances of police pepper spraying drunk teenagers.
this sounds like it's going to be awesome
go to rics and say shit like ''wow, brisbane's heaps bigger than i thought it was...''.
never been but they have sea world and helicopters? and miles and miles of golden beaches untouched by man but touched by jellyfish.
There's a place in the valley called The Bowery that seems to always be filled with hot young women listening to jazz. I haven't been there in a while though. They're probably old ugly women listening to country by now, which is by no means a bad thing.
crap, just realized, i will be one of the tourists
roller derby
There's a place somewhere in the city, possibly an aussie-themed pub, with old wooden decor, many neon signs insiade, bundy and coke on tap, and lots of drink specials. What's that place called? It's shit.
near the train station and backpackers?
yeah that sounds about right
what dates are you there? i'll find some gigs.
go to the dickham and score some cock.
is bundy made in brisbane? i was thinking it was further north, last time i was there they had a fest of bundy drinking
I know that place, it's bloody awful. Really really awful.
I couldn't find any good old pubs in Brisbane. Did I just miss the mark, or are there none?
Bundaberg Rum is made in Bundaberg. Whowoulddathunk?

Anything worthy on tonight or tomorrow?
Roku Music, Secret Birds, Gaza Strips at the Waiting Room tomorrow night.
Also Hard-Ons, Happy Times and some other bands at the Prince of Wales in Nundah (I think)
Where is this Waiting Room place you speak of?
Also, where would one go for a drink these days in the Valley/City that's not full of cocknuts?
Browing Street West End, pretty much opposite the Melbourne Hotel. It's BYO, too, which always helps.
The Public Services Club in the city is still my favourite spot in town for a beer. I'll be there after work this afternoon if you fancy one.
Sounds good all round squire. I'll let you know, I'm in Loganlea currently and very sober. Not sure what my perspective escape time it, though if I can hit the CBD by 5ish that would be sweet.
I'm sure I'll be there for at least a couple of hours.
Bonza.
the waiting room is a gem. usually find those places intimidating, like walking into someone's private party but this was not like that.
Cool, I like the sounds of it. Looks like I'm going to get out of here around 4pm Unvisible, will see you at this Public place for a few.
Ha, I used to hit that place up when I worked in the Executive building a year ago. Quality pokies! :-D
hard ons tomorrow night at the pow
Apparently everyone envies the valley.
I'll be there enjoying the world class entertainment tonight.
I TOO MIGHT BE THERE LATER ahh fuck.
Don't do it. It'll be like when a restaurant gets written up in the paper, everyone will be there to check it out for themselves.
I'll be at the public services later too. Good times, Lone Wolf classic hits.
That Roku Music etc gig tomorrow looks good too.
Mattin from Basque Country is also doing some thing at QUT tomorrow, and at Real Bad Music at Moorooka on Sunday I think.
The Waiting Room show tonight has turned into a fundraiser for the bands who had their gear stolen from the old Hangar rehearsal space in Red Hill the other day.
Great Earthquake playing two shows in Brisbane this weekend. Friday night at The Waiting Room with McKisko and Sadglint, then Southside Tea Room for Ghost Notes' single launch on Saturday.
Also Gunk, Slagroom and Statler & Waldorf at Waiting Room on Saturday.
Black Flag documentary showing for free at the state library tomorrow:
