It's not fancy, but this is still my favourite pedal.
haha - my how i miss that lettering. very 1980s!!
This is weird i've had 2 Rat pedals stolen (so i gave up buying them) and i used to have that Ibanez Delay ( which chewed 2 9v batteries an hour from memory)
Yeah it takes two 9V batteries and it totally drains them. The alternative is an 18v power supply with an 1/8'' power jack - which I don't have and I've never been sure what to do about this, so I just keep buying batteries. Bloody annoying
very twilight zone dudes
I'm hoping to get a rat 2 this week, gotta wait for some funds to come in. Hey Going Blank, get my pm?
Hey man, I did - will reply to it in a sec. Sorry!
Oi thread: I'm probably going to sell the Rat I posted above because I only really use my Turbo Rat these days. It's an original Rat 2 - 87 I think, I'll have to open it up and check later - and it is in pretty good condition for its age. PM me an offer if you're interested. I know what they're worth but at the same time I'm not gonna pull a 'Global Vintage' on you...
Ha! Rene is a nice enough bloke at least, I noticed a lot of their prices on ebay have come down a fair bit.
Yeah, I've mail ordered (new) stuff from GV and can't fault them: good price, super fast postage. Just noticed a couple of pedals on their Ebay site which were priced... ambitiously, I guess. But I'm sure someone with a proper job who couldn't be bothered lurking auctions for six months would snap them up.
This just arrived but won't get to try it for a week or so.
Well it's a T-rex Moller.
Just posting so I can always find the thread... Nothing to see here, move along.
on the weekend i got to compare the new tym guitars 'red mudd' to my favourite green big muff (i've had 3, one is noticeably better than the others).
there was no discernible difference to my ears. once again, tym rules.
i scored one of these really cheap on the eBay the other day
...i believe it's an updated/tweaked remake of my all-time favourite, the Colorsound Overdriver
hey JBR - did you end up getting that GT-500?
Nah. Still looking around for a bargain. I want one of these.
Les Lius
yeah man they seem very cool! so many 'marshall' pedals out there - not to many Fender-y pedals, so this is great
do enjoy lovepedal. had four, sold two (karl and eternity), but these two i wouldn't part with.

just checked, not sure on the late 70's, but below is evh's pedal board, there's an m117r top right next to his signature mxr phase 90 (both after the distortion). But probably 90s pic although i'd say he had those pedals from earlier on. big fan of the boss super overdrive later on too. that m117r was the sound. good educated guess by me!

*'distortion' = gain/distortion/fuzz/overdrive/etc,etc, just the way I say it to myself
Anyone had any experience with BBE pedals...specifically the Two Timer analog delay?
Very reasonably priced..
Hey Spaceman1: I'll PM you :)
''(both after the distortion).''
How can you tell from that pic? Also, that's from a more modern pedalboard - no way that's from '78.
On VH1, he went front in. No fx loops on a '68 Superlead.
This is getting annoying. Follow the patch cables. I'm right, even regarding early vh: http://www.mr5150.vhvault.com/evh-brown-sound.html
who fucking cares
anyone used the vox lil' looper? they're very cheap...
can anyone recommend a delay pedal that has a trail-off/buffered bypass option in the style of HoF reverb?
TC Electronics (makers of the HoF) have the Flashback delay, works in the same fashion.
I've got the ProGuitarShop.com version of same, the Alter Ego. It's just a Flashback with a couple of different modes, but otherwise identical.
Oh - the Alter Ego is also made by TC Electronics, to be clear. It's just some kind of limited edition variation available thru PGS, not a knock-off.
Anyway, yes.
cool, thanks
Voidster, I Have a two timer, it's pretty neat! My fav delay's are the old boss dm's, this is as close as I could get to them without forking out mega bucks. I recommend it as a great simple delay with a nice warm sound, having the second time switch is very handy too.
hey amazinglyblended the Hardwire DL-8 has what you're after too :)
awesome, thank you!
Yes indeed, I just got a DL-8 recently and it's excellent. My mate got one too and liked it so much he bought a second one!
Been awhile since I bought a pedal, but if this improves my guitar playing as much as the last Mid-Fi pedal did, well...
that looks cool SGH - nice!
Wahs
Inform me... Is the Budwah or Clyde or do the others cut it and folk are just picky. I've only ever played 2 or 3 and from memory the $29 Washburn from deals direct sounded the best.
got this last week
octave up that you can add to any fuzz pedal, kind of like putting a green ringer in front but more tweakable. I gave it a good workout at rehearsal yesterday with my Tym Ram Head. Heaps of fun.
