I'm free to play all nights and days depending on shifts given by work. Basically I'm free all nights from 6-7pm. I enjoy music with abrasive qualities. And soft qualities. I enjoy music that can effect an audience.
I was going to avoid listing bands/music I listen to for fear of it being limiting, but figure it's kinda cool to be in similar head spaces as far as taste in music. Music that finds itself playing on the ol stereo/mp3player/recordplayer from time to time are as follows but not limited to.... Melvins, The Sunny Boys, The Birthday Party, Polvo, Shellac, Cannibal Corpse, Sleep, Weezer, High on Fire, Electric Wizard, Corrupted, Jason Molina, God, ....god speed you black emperor, Lightning Bolt, The Motels, Neal Young, Om, Roland S Howard, Slint, Split Ends, The Sunny Boys.....
some of my most enjoyed gigs in the last few years were The Dirty Three, High Tea, a percussion act at 'The make it up club'(they didn't have a name) Mars Volta, 6ft hick, Lightning Bolt.
I'm looking for something pretty special. If I was to be picky I'd say pref persons gigging and active in local music but of course not at all necessary.

Anyone that just says tele..mean they cant play telecasters so piss that off.
A telecaster is a specialist instrument. You don't list it as a 'tele'. Down thelist as guitar number three. It's either number one or not there. Tele players don't fuck around with this shit.

I play a 'tele' and I'll admit that I'm not very good and I don't know much about gear or tone too much (I don't even own an amp), but I play in one of the bands that polyphloisboian mentioned. And it's heaps of fun.

It's a freakin' electric guitar! ...and is prolly easier to play than other guitars due to the slim neck and low action on the strings.

mine is sweet. fender did re-makes of the '52 with all the wiring with the cotton. neck is sort of a yellowish colour. aged, if you will. a really nice looking guitar. plays great too.
tele's are fucking great, i saw one in that fretted instruments awhile ago with a b bender in it, butterscotch colour, fkn beautiful looking guitar. strats for me, not so much. saw one one time, a light lime green colour, almost as if was faded white, pretty sexy guitar right there!

Leo didn't play nah. He just used all the players to tell him whwa was good what wasn't etc.
You can get a b bender from gene parsons. He invented it. He still does em from his shed in California. You know..drummer ofthe byrds. He and Clarence white invented it..yo know..but gene is lovely. I'd recommend tha over a fender licensed one. Although it's licensed from gene I guess!
