Different stroke style. Ahem.....
ha. no. that's done on a puter. I use real paint.
good idea for a painting though
Ben, as you are clearly self-taught, I was wondering if you had any tips for someone that was keen to paint themselves, but didn't have any noticeable aptitude or the time available to participate in a class?
Where do you buy your materials?
Where do you get your inspiration?
How do you deal with criticism?
Which youtube videos would best aide painting technique?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Hi gabbo. thank you for your interest and questions.
if you want to paint yourself, firstly get a mirror, or perhaps a photo of yourself. It's very hard to see what your painting otherwise.
I buy my materials from op-shops and $2 shops. There's no point being a chimney sweep with the kings clothes on.
I get my inspiration from the world around me.. whatever makes me laugh or whatever I think deserves celebrating or recognising, or if I think that a story is kinda interesting. I enjoy little pleasures.
As ''Australia's Worst Artist'', it's pretty hard to get offended with criticism. As will all good headstrong arrogant artists, it's like water off a camels back!
but seriously, everyone is crap, especially to begin with.. and also art is so subjective, millions of people dont like picasso, and Van Gough only sold 1 painting while he was alive... so dont worry what people say. if you reckon your progressing with your art, then your winning.

Daft Punk Play the Wee Waa Agricultural Show
Dogs v Pussies is the stand out for me.
Your paintings remind me of your football; unorthodox and full of effort. Both work well.
