I believe we should get the minimum award wage ÷ time taken scanning/ bagging reimbursed from total price. Also, is it theft if you're just an idiot and you think an exotic expensive fruit is just a carrot?
I say not. My shopping receipt only lists carrots.

I have heard that some checkouts announce each item as you scan so everyone knows your cherries are actually carrots, but I'm yet to hear it myself.

Carrots are actually mushrooms too so you should be okay. Not many people know this.

I once got away with running a fancy pie form the fancy Johnston St Coles through as a normal meat pie.
