Tiny Spiders (Bris) Album Tour

Incremental  said about 10 months ago  or at  10:27AM on Thursday, July 5 2012 in events

As seen in the M+N Mid-Year Report.

When you think of Brisbane, what do you think? Excessive conservatism? Crushing humidity? Too many hours in a car? Bands with a half dozen too many members? Ok ok, forget about Brisbane. Tiny Spiders are a two-piece rock band being pop being noise. The fact that they hail from the east coast’s northern capital is neither here nor (way up) there. The important thing is that this July they’re coming down to the southern cities to launch their debut 12” record. It’s a record filled with brutal guitar fuzz and spazzy drums brushing up against (kind of) smooth vocal melodies. It's Lightning Bolt covering ABBA. 14 songs, 34minutes, plenty of volume

You can grab yourself a copy for 'name-your-price' from their bandcamp at

Last night, in my dreams I was in the Coles carpark near where I grew up. Inside the Coles there was a noticeboard, on the noticeboard was a poster featuring the artwork for this album. On the poster someone had written ''you can't copy down someone's license plate number''. A girl came up, and started to explain that she'd seen a car accident in the carpark and wrote the number down. The guy who wrote that was next to the noticeboard, and was saying ''OK, that's fine, but remember it in your head. It's the height of rudeness to write down someone's license plate number in front of them''. The girl seemed to accept this, and apologised to everyone including the offending driver and the man gave her the folded poster with the Tiny Spiders album artwork back. It was printed on really thick glossy paper and it was a beautiful sunny day. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

Bummed I can't make the Black Wire show, Really wanna see F'Tang too (which I believe is half of Ghosts of TV. kinda?)

when's the vinyl getting posted out?

unvisible  said about 9 months ago:

Pretty sure they're meant to be mailed out on or around the 3rd, so shouldn't be long now.
