Formed from the smouldering remnants of post punk band Tiddabades, Sunken Seas (Craig, Luke, Ryan) have undergone an incredible shift in style. Where the former band were more the headiness of the dance-punk era, Sunken Seas have brought the sometimes underlying broodiness to the forefront with this new venture. it’s more cold, more industrial… it’s almost the antithesis of what Tiddabades became familiar for…

''With the intensity of the Bailterspace-to-Jakob lineage, this is part post-rock and part prog-noir which pulls you in to the vortex and – especially on the swirling intensity of Photographs of the Dead – thrashes around like some creature in Alien, full of malice and fury. It can be utterly thrilling, yet they also offer a spaciousness to let you breath'' Graham Reid

i love this stuff! brilliant timing on the release too - perfect winter music.
definitely should appeal to any fans of bailterspace.. or even just fans of really good music.

listened on the way to work this morning. great driving music, in the rain, with the impending doom of work hanging over me.
