Met him today at work and he took time from a meeting to have a chat with myself and co-workers. Lovely chap, very funny also.
I won some free tickets and saw it over xmas... it was a good laugh & Les Patterson was great.
Dunno if I'd wanna pay to go though....
What a prick.
I thought he was proud to be Australian- and anyway how does he qualify for a CBE?
Good on Botham, but.
currently reading the Flashbacks companion book to the tv series of the same name (which incidentally has been reissued on dvd).

A Nice Night's Entertainment (1962)
At Least You Can Say You've Seen It (1974)

I picked up Treasury of Australian Kitsch recently. essential bathroom reading.
Barry Humphries' Book of Innocent Austral Verse is worth a flip through also.

Saw Barry Humphries walking up Bourke Street today, he had awesome purple trousers on and a trademark hat.
