is it still going?
is it good?
It's going for quite a while I believe.
Met him today at work and he took time from a meeting to have a chat with myself and co-workers. Lovely chap, very funny also.
I won some free tickets and saw it over xmas... it was a good laugh & Les Patterson was great.
Dunno if I'd wanna pay to go though....
What a prick.
I thought he was proud to be Australian- and anyway how does he qualify for a CBE?
Good on Botham, but.
currently reading the Flashbacks companion book to the tv series of the same name (which incidentally has been reissued on dvd).
like a jab to the solar plexus of australian culture and identity. absolutely cutting. highly recommended!
When I saw ''Back with a Vengance'', Nick Cave was also in attendance. This was both surprising and pleasing.
A Nice Night's Entertainment (1962)
At Least You Can Say You've Seen It (1974)
Isn't It Pathetic At His Age (1978)
An Evening's Intercourse With... (1982)
Remember You're Out (1999)
Hm. Only $490 a seat for his new ''...and this is me'' show - might give that one a miss unfortunately.
I picked up Treasury of Australian Kitsch recently. essential bathroom reading.
Barry Humphries' Book of Innocent Austral Verse is worth a flip through also.
as is Les Patterson's Australia
Saw Barry Humphries walking up Bourke Street today, he had awesome purple trousers on and a trademark hat.
