good band huh?

any fans on here that can recommend what they think are some of the better albums? I downloaded a few older tunes.. which are awesome.. and bought their latest album.. which is good.. but perhaps lacking in.. something.. I dunno...

TopherPlus  said about 6 years ago:

we were discussing them in the pennywise thread the other day.

How to clean everything is pretty classic

McGauz  said about 6 years ago:

i saw that pennywise thread... as much as I liked them when I was 16, I steered clear... I don't listen to much music like this.. or like that.. but everynow and then it gets me pumped up

xsheppox  said about 6 years ago:

Less Talk More Rock is the classic.

McGauz  said about 6 years ago:

what about 'Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes' as an album?

McGauz  said about 6 years ago:

just cos i dig the tune Back To The Motor League

blake3030  said about 6 years ago:

I used to own Less Talk More Rock when I was 15.

I thought it was pretty good at the time.

Couldn't listen to it now. Way too much over the top political bullshit.....

McGauz  said about 6 years ago:

that's what I like about it :)

TopherPlus  said about 6 years ago:

HTCE is great

LTMR has some awesome stuff but is hit and miss.

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

just bought Today's Empire... during the week, and giving these guys a listen again.

''I like to party fucking hard. I like my rocknroll the same. Don't give a fuck if I burn out. Don't give a fuck if I fade away.''

righto

I think Propagandhi are still one of the most relevant bands in punk rock and don't get a fraction of the respect they deserve not only for their music but for the humour they inject into their subject matter. (That being said, Rock for Sustainable Capitalism let down Potemkin City Limits a trifle.)

Of their records I enjoy Less Talk More Rock pretty much the most. I really need music by this band - darn being nearly 13,500 miles away from home.

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

i watched a bunch of youTube clips of the band last night. They still look like dorks.. and I don't mean that in a bad way.. but they haven't ''dressed'' a certain way, or have a ''look'', just a bunch of dudes with strong opinions playing music they dig. As uncool as they look, I quite like that about them. And even some of the clips were from only last year, and they still look and dress the same! ha

STOP SAYING ''BUNCH'' EVERYONE!

It is such a trend, exudes a faux nonchalance, I hate it!!!!!!!!

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

haha... can I say a ''HEAP''?? a ''SHITLOAD''?

willbarrow  said about 5 years ago:

shitload would be much more acceptable!

or how about, a ''barrow full'' of whatever it may be.

ed  said about 5 years ago:

Today's Empires was the first album from these guys I got, and it's still my favourite. They're all good, though.

blake3030  said about 5 years ago:

haha, you're such a fucking retard willbarrow

Modi  said about 5 years ago:

How 'bout a bunch o' fives?

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

a willbarrow full

gaggle?

actually this reminds me of my dislike for the pointlessness of collective nouns.

McGauz  said about 5 years ago:

a murder?

Mo  said about 3 years ago:

their 2009 release supporting caste is amazing

probably one of the more innovative punk rock bands musically

and the lyrical content rules

2nd Corner show announced, Thursday 19th May.

That white pride forum is some interesting internet

Mo  said about 2 years ago:

i emailed one of the dudes in propagandhi and offered him 20 odd samoan buddies of mine to bodyguard them

CryMeARiver  said about 2 years ago:

And don't those Stormfront dudes just love the shit out of emoticons eh?

RoastOxCrisps  said about 1 year ago:

I saw Propagandhi at the ANU two nights ago. They ripped. Having never heard them before, I was very impressed, and bought their 2009 album, which is tight as a nun's.

The bass guitar is doing some ridiculously fast and crazy business on that track.

McGauz  said about 8 months ago:

Hi Roastie!! long time, no post..ie. Glad the thread is still pumping. Supporting Caste is fucking superb, as is Potemkin City Limits. Though the couple of songs the bassist sings aren't my faves, at least they're short. Missed the last tour... cunce

RoastOxCrisps  said about 8 months ago:

I listed to Potemkin City Limits last night. Must get the newey on vinyl stat.
