It's not uncommon to be ejected from the House. Wilson Tuckey does it on purpose so he can catch the early flight back to WA.

Gotta mention his ''Julia gillard's shit-eating grin'' comment from last week. What a politician

I think it already knows it's gonna fail at the next election, and Abbot will be hung, drawn and quartered as a result

So, Malcolm Turnbull’s for the ETS. I’m against the ETS. And Joe — nobody knows what the fuck you stand for. – Abbott in a Liberal Party meeting yesterday

''For us to be a credible political party . . . we have to have a credible position on climate change,'' Mr Turnbull told the Seven Network. ''I have been quite consistent about that.''

Where's that Hmmm chat when you need him/her?

Oh fuck.

I reckon Fielding and Abbot boof each other in the toilets at P.House while Fred Nile watches.

This is worse than Howard being leader.

I wrote a piece for the Conversation on why the IPA shouldn't get too excited about an Abbott government.

Ha, I read this this morning - good stuff!

I really don't know why the IPA want this ''“Repeal Section 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act''

In a word: Bolt. In multiple words: this.

illywhacker  said 25 days ago:

Conservatives have passionately opposed the RDA since it was enacted in 1975. Bolt gave them a good opportunity to make an issue of it again.

sting-bono  said 25 days ago:

Jonathan Holmes wrote the best article on RDA 18C imho back when, people need to harden the fuck up in this country, i dont like Bolt but it was a stupid decision against him and many on the left called it as such: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-09-29/holmes-bolt-bromberg-and-a-profoundly-disturbing-judgment/3038156

FYI s18C is from Part IIA of the RDA which was enacted in 1995 under Keating.

illywhacker  said 25 days ago:

Yep, I was just pointing out that conservatives have been broadly opposed to the RDA itself since 1975, although their recent focus has been S18C.

I agree with you about it being a bad decision. The Act needs to be amended, but not repealed. Making it against the law to insult or offend is just silly. There were a few principled lefties who disagreed with the decision, but most I came across supported it, purely because they enjoyed seeing Bolt get his comeuppance.

Sure, he's an idiot, and he can't even seem to explain a good policy without sticking his foot firmly into his mouth...

But his 'signature' paid parental leave scheme is good right?

I don't think it is IPA related. I think he's put his foot in it announcing it and knows he can't back track. A poor attempt to disprove the misogynist title.

No workchoices, pretty uncontroversial and boring changes. Hmmm...

mrmagoo  said 9 days ago:

yeah nothing really earth shattering at all, just a rub for the unions but that was to be expected

more like we aren't going to change much this election, but it's all up for debate come 2016

smart play Libs

Yes it doesn't pay to be accused of being a LIAR these days. Best to promise nothing and then post election make a delivery of very special surprises to everyone. Which if memory serves is how we got workchoices back in the day....who knows maybe we will get another hung parliament!

just saw Abbott and Hockey holding a binder. As a professional female should I be worried? Am I in it?
