We've got some big news. In fact, three big pieces of news.

1. We've recorded a new single and new video which will be released on the awaiting world extremely soon.
2. Our beloved bass player, Jimi, will be retiring as a Bastard in one month's time.
3. We'll be taking 5 months off gigs from the end of June, as Ben and then Anna head overseas for a while.

Any single one of these on their own would warrant an extra special show. But the three together? Well, that calls for a party to remember.

So here it is - on Friday 22nd June, at the John Curtin Bandroom (29 Lygon St, opposite Trades Hall) La Bastard will be launching our new single 'Take Me Away', bidding farewell to Jimi and temporarily signing out. Everyone through the door gets a download card for three new songs, including a special preview track from our new album, which we're launching at the end of the year. It's gonna be a show not to be missed.

Joining us for this momentous occasion will be two of Melbourne's best bands, The Peep Tempel and the Velocettes.

If you're ever thought of going to a La Bastard show and haven't yet down, this is the one to come to. We won't dissapoint.
