Fresh from a European tour and en route to Nashville in September Damian Howard and his band return to the Thornbury Theatre in the new look Velvet Room on Friday 17th August with special guests, Mustered Courage. Mustered Courage delivers a new breed of bluegrass; blending traditional elements of the style with a soulful and alternative twist, all sprinkled with a rock n’ roll mentality. This is certainly high energy bluegrass and song writing at its finest. Mustered Courage have just taken out the title of Country Act of the Year at this years’ Musicoz Awards at the Sydney Opera House.

Owen Campbell has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old and is one of Australia’s most talented slide guitar players and songwriters, with his gravelly blend of blues,roots, soul and country, and a voice that belies his 27 years. His recent appearance and controversial banter with the judges on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ sent his album ‘Sunshine Road’ soaring to #2 on the iTunes Australian and blues charts.
