Genre jumping drummer / percussionist Will Guthrie returns to Melbourne to launch his new solo CD / LP entitled 'Sticks, Stones & Breaking Bones'. His path as an award-winning jazz drummer, grass-roots free-improv organiser (founding Melbourne's still-running Make It Up Club with guitarist Ren Walters), flamenco accompanist, then relocation to France has led him to play with some of the finest musicians in both Australia and Europe. After years of using electronics his new album is a return to the acoustic drum set, and is a melting pot of the various influences from the diverse musical situations this traveller has found himself in over the years.
