Hot on the heals of a very succesful launch party, Communion Melbourne is proud to present the follow up evening for this new monthly residency at The Toff In Town.
The Communion music night has it's roots in London, having operated there since 2006. Established by Ben Lovett (Mumford and Sons), Kevin Jones and producer Ian Grimble, in it's time it has nurtured the likes of Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, Noah and the Whale, Marcus Foster, Matt Corby, Nathaniel Rateliff, Matthew and the Atlas, Boy & Bear, The Staves, Ben Howard and Michael Kiwanuka to name just a few. The night has now expanded to several cities throughout the UK as well as bases in New York and San Francisco.
Communion Melbourne features a different lineup each month offering a creative platform for emerging, developing and established artists to perform in an environment that embraces collaboration and mutual support.
The schedule for August 19 performance features an exciting line-up:
Fraser A. Gorman
Fraser has the guitar, writing book and the lungs. Coops does most of the tricky stuff with the better lungs and better pickin'. Sophia slings her fiddle like a wand casting lighting with her bow. The rest will unfold before your very eyes.

Castlecomer
Sick of the relentless battles on the ping pong table that wore away at their strumming arms and spirit fingers, the members of Castlecomer decided to focus their energies on making the music of the future.. And so it was that the harmony was born.
Quirky lyrics and up-tempo melodies combine with jungle beats and earthy harmonies to produce a sound which carries with it an infectious happiness, so stomp your feet and clap your hands - because this is a musical fireworks display.
