Augie To March Once More

So much for Augie March’s show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre bringing a “grand end to their weird and wonderful 13-year adventure”. The band will perform alongside Paul Kelly, Clare Bowditch and Mama Kin (US) at the Escape To The Park festival on December 4 at Kings Park in Perth.

In a recent interview with M+N, frontman Glenn Richards confessed he was “bored and tired” and needed a change in musical direction. “There's no especially ill feeling in the band other than what you'd expect,” he said. “I have no desire to have the thing dry up or go splat so I'm letting it sleep in the cave.”

The band, who performed at the inaugural Escape To The Park in 2006, will perform an hour-long set at 7pm prior to Kelly’s headline appearance. It has been dubbed their “last appearance in WA for the foreseeable future”. Make of that what you will.

Tickets on sale today (August 20).
