Tic Toc Tokyo Change Name, Embrace Paisley

Tic Toc Tokyo have come up with a new name befitting their latest penchant for garish paisley shirts and New York art rock. They will now be known simply as TTT; a moniker they feel is better suited to their “current and future projects and endeavours”.

"Four years after starting out as Tic Toc Tokyo, we feel it's time for a change and would like to announce that from now on the band will be using the abbreviated name of TTT,” the band wrote on their MySpace page.

If new single, ‘Animal’, is anything to go by, the band have also traded their spiky guitars and English post punk-isms for the percussive textures and drum loops of The Talking Heads’ 1980 classic Remain In Light. It will be launched on February 13 at Melbourne’s Curtin Band Room with World’s End Press and The Dead South. More guests TBA.

TTT’s debut album, Lands, is due out in April.

Any publicity is good publicity I s'pose.

The Temper Trap < Temper Temper < The Harlequins.

I don't know if lawyers got involved, prince, but I think they were aware of other, bigger Temper Temper bands; bigger at the time, that is.
