Native Cats Plan Melbourne Return

The Native Cats’ debut album Always On was one of the best releases of 2009 – we described it as “unique and entirely of its time” – and to celebrate its release on vinyl the band will make a rare appearance in Melbourne next month.

The duo of Julian Teakle and Peter Escott will perform atop a three band bill that also includes Super Wild Horses and The UV Race at The Birmingham Hotel on July 3. The band last performed in Melbourne at The Flip Out festival at The Corner Hotel in September. Read about it here

Escott and Teakle have also been putting the finishing touches on their second album, which they plan to release “real soon”. They’ll be showcasing songs from it at the Birmingham show.

The re-issued Always On LP is now available through Boston label Ride The Snake.
