Salmon’s Month Of Sundays

Back from his recent ATP New York triumph, Kim Salmon will condense more than 30 years of music making into a monthly residency at Melbourne’s The Old Bar.

Each Sunday in November, The Australian music icon will present one of his many incarnations: one week, you could hear songs from The Surrealists’ back catalogue; another, The Scientists, his latest avant guard outing or one of his several side projects (from Beasts of Bourbon to Antenna, The Business and maybe even a riff or two from SALMON).

Salmon will be joined by Scientists’ drummer Leanne Cowie and bassist Stu Thomas for the Scientists shows, The Surrealists’ David Brown for his latest improvs and a “surprise line-up” for his mixed/solo material. To further complicate things, he won’t be announcing which line-up will play which week.

The residency begins on November 7.
