M+N Lunchbox To Make Bris Debut

The M+N Lunchbox continues to go from strength to strength, with the series making its debut in Brisbane next month.
In collaboration with industry summit BIGSOUND, Gold Coast duo Bleeding Knees Club will be performing a free lunchtime show on September 8, 1pm, at the newly opened Black Bear Lodge (formerly The Troubadour). The band was recently named among NME’s 50 Best Bands of 2011, with the UK hype merchants describing them as “thrillingly off-kilter surf pop”. As always, the performance will be recorded for later consumption on M+N TV.
It’s only the second time the Lunchbox series has moved out of Victoria following Gareth Liddiard’s performance at Lower Town Hall as part of Sydney Festival in January. (Footage here.)
Past Lunchbox acts have included Henry Wagons, Adalita, Pikelet, Otouto and most recently, The Panics. Check out photos, videos and news about upcoming events at our dedicated Lunchbox page.

I MISSED IT BECAUSE OF A BULLSHIT MEETING
BTW, my pick for winner of Bigsound was Oscar + Martin. Very lovely.
But I wouldn't know. DZ Deathrays or their afterband Big Scary had a big queue.
I definitely prefer BKC as a three piece now.
