Music Premiere: The Harpoons ‘Keep You Around’

News posted Friday, October 28 2011 at 11:00 AM.
Related: Harpoons.

Pop R&B upstarts The Harpoons have given us a sneak peak of their forthcoming debut album, due for release next year through Two Bright Lakes/Remote Control. Produced by Nick Huggins (Otouto, Hello Satellites), it’s got a modern soul feel in the vein of Oscar + Martin’s ‘Do The Right Thing’, unsurprisingly, given Martin King plays in the band. The Harpoons have been confirmed for January’s Sugar Mountain Festival. They’re also playing dates with Dick Diver in November. Dates below.

how come it's taken so long for an album? They've been around for ages.

Good stuff. Would probably have liked to hear the guitar a little bit more? It's hard to tell on these ear bud things. Interesting stuff going on with the drums.
