Flipper!
AIH dude looks like he's missing eyebrows. And like he's a little bit dead. I like the clip, it's all nice and relaxing and then you realise how very silly that dolphin looks and you have a little giggle to yourself.
5 young kids playing melancholi-pop. What's not to like?
That Snakadaktal clip...what is it actually saying?
It's teen melancholy that will appeal to Coldplay/Temper Trap fans, but there's no MESSAGE.
To disaffected youth, punk offered liberation through rebellion and non-conformity. But these Snakadaktal kids (and their fans) embody arty-hipster conformity. The girl has a pretty voice, that's undeniable. But this is 'the future of Australian music'? They sound exactly like the Temper Trap with a girl singer.
There's so much music without a message.
Punk offered something to relate to, feel a part of, united rebellion. Are hipsters really any different? I see their conformity as anti-conformity, in a similar way to punks of days gone by.
Here's a little something to soothe your need for a message blacklight.
