Ever wondered what Dappled Cities would sound like if they were fronted by the Magnetic Fields’ Stephin Merritt? Behold the new single from Mosman Alder, a Brisbane six-piece who’ve already supported the likes of Besnard Lakes, Kimbra and Deep Sea Arcade, and scored a spot on the bill at last year’s Splendour, in their short existence. Produced by Sean Cook and Yanto Browning and mixed by Tony Espie (The Avalanches, Mercy Arms), ‘Raisin Heart’ is the first taste of the band’s debut EP Burn Bright, which will be out on May 25 through Dew Process.
