‘Deranged’ Wayne Coyne Wants Kevin From Tame Impala's Blood

Kevin Parker is currently crowdsourcing for tips on extracting blood.
No, not for a pagan ritual or cause he’s, like, really into Twilight, but for a Record Store Day compilation put together by Wayne Coyne from The Flaming Lips.
As reported by FasterLouder today, Coyne is planning to create blood-infused picture discs featuring some of the album’s collaborators including Nick Cave, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James, Bon Iver, Chris Martin, Ke$ha and the Paris-based Parker, who’s having a few difficulties getting the stuff into a vial.
“If anyone in Paris has any way of extracting blood out of my flesh and into a container without killing me so that I may give it to a deranged psych rocker to put INTO his band's album, then please let me know,” he posted on Facebook (via The Music Network).
Parker said initial attempts to extract the blood from Paris’ laboratoire d'analyses médicales were thwarted because they “weren't convinced” by his reasons. He said he would soon be resorting to a “needle and a little soy sauce bottle”, unless someone had a better idea.
The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends will be out on limited-edition vinyl (20,000 copies) for Record Store Day (April 21).
