When: July 24 through Sacred Bones.

Key notes: Third album for the Brisbane seven-piece following last year’s Howlin' Gang and 2009’s divisive Down On The Meat. Written and recorded during a “particularly turbulent year” for Slug Guts during which they toured the US, Japan, and Australia, released a live album and numerous singles, not to mention trips to the mental hospital, jail, court trials, death, rehab, and bouts of violence. Phew!

From the presser: “A record that sounds menacingly desperate, ugly and malnourished … [drawing] on Australia's rough and agitated pub rock history, taking dregs from Australian cult icons Feedtime, Venom P Stinger & The Birthday Party.”
