Listen: Middle East’s Rohin Jones Duets With Adalita

Loose, distorted, jangly, beguiling fractured pop – it’s The Middle East’s Rohin Jones as you’ve never heard him before. The self-described “part-time bum” (guess that Crazy, Stupid, Love sync really paid off) has teamed up with Magic Dirt’s Adalita for ‘Everybody Wants To Be Your Friend', the first music to emerge from the songwriter since The Middle East’s dramatic exit at Splendour In The Grass last year.

Splitting his time between his native Townsville and Sydney, Jones has been working on a batch of new songs under the moniker R.L Jones, with an album slated for release through Spunk in 2013. He’ll be performing with some Middle East alumni at Brisbane’s Old Museum on June 22.
