If you’re dipping your toe into gothic country who better to enlist than Graveyard Train?
The Melbourne country-horror six-piece provide distinctive group backing vocals for the latest musical departure for Ella Hooper, who you might remember from ’90s deb ball favourites Killing Heidi and alt-country act The Verses, which she helmed with brother Jesse.
‘Low High’ is the first taste of debut solo album In Tongues, which was produced and recorded by Jan Skubizewski (Owl Eyes, Illy) in his studio in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood. Its stark black-and-white clip was shot in a remote pine forest in Victoria by photographer Wilk (PVT, Jack Ladder, Dappled Cities).

Yes, finally, this has been brewing for a while.. Heard whispers. The album sounds great, a friend of mine played on the it, definitely not what I was expecting, and very good. Good on her.
The it? Just it.
She and the clip look pretty good too.

The song is really really catchy and I like her voice.
The video is pretty cool too.
Not a fan of interpretive dance though.
