– Chet Faker has announced a national headline tour. Following a performance at Splendour at the end of the month, the Melbourne electro “it” boy will play seven dates all up in support of new single ‘Love and Feeling’ from debut EP Thinking In Textures. Faker (aka Nick Murphy) recently supported Temper Trap on a run of European shows, and remixed ‘Trembling Hands’ from their self-titled new album.

– Icehouse have announced their first tour since their 2011 reunion, which included stints at Meredith Music Festival and Homebake. The “Primitive Colours” tour will focus on songs from Primitive Man and Man of Colours, which are celebrating 25th and 30th anniversaries this year, respectively.

– Nu-soul collective Saskwatch will play dates in Sydney and Melbourne next month in support of new 7” ‘Your Love’. The track is the second to be lifted from the band’s upcoming debut album Leave It All Behind (definitely not a Ride tribute record). It’s due out in August through Northside Records. In addition to the dates below, the band will complete a residency at Cherry Bar this Thursday (July 12).

– Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band will release second album Sunshine and Technology on August 24, followed by a national headline tour. Out through Poison City Records, the album follows 2011 debut No One Gets Lost Anymore. It was recorded by Sam Johnson at Melbourne’s Three Phase Studios and mixed by Matt Voigt (Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, The Nation Blue) at Sing Sing Studios.
