Watch: Donny Benét Makes Motivational Music

Lacking the self-motivation and confidence to fulfil your personal goals and dreams? Like a folically challenged Tony Robbins, Donny Benét is here to help.

Sydney’s best exponent of semi-ironic ’80s-inspired montage music has returned with a new single called ‘All 4 You’, a song “about overcoming self doubt and allowing yourself to pluck up the courage to ask out that beautiful person that you’re clearly intimidated by yet can’t leave behind”. Benét plays all the instruments on the track, save for a sax solo performed by David Sanborn his brother Dan. There are also some sweet vocal harmonies by Elana Stone of the Rescue Ships (no relation).

The follow-up to last year’s Don’t Hold Back, Electric Love will be out on September 7 through Rice Is Nice.
