Watch: Pond Make DIY Clip For ‘Moth Wings’

Pond may officially be the “Hottest New Band In The World” (NME said it, so it must be true), but that doesn’t mean they’ve abandoned their DIY roots in Perth’s nascent psych-rock scene.
For their latest clip, the band have used an iPhone app called Funny Movie Maker to create some Mulligrubs-inspired vision for new single ‘Moth Wings’, featuring “cameos” from Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kylie, Batman, Gandalf and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.
The track hails from fourth album Beard Wives Denim, which we described as “a low-stakes, zero-stress sampler of styles and approaches”.
Before drummer Jay Watson and Nick Allbrook become tied up with sister band Tame Impala’s new album, they’ll play Splendour In The Grass in Byron this weekend, before dates in Perth, Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne in September. Dates below.
