– Following a “cerebral” Opera House debut at Vivid Sydney in May, Sydney’s Seekae will revert back to their “classic” three-piece formation for east-coast shows in September. The band will be performing old and new material, including a recent song called ‘Yech’, which was filmed in the Opera House’s Utzon Room (watch below). Supports by Kangaroo Skull and Thomas William.

– Sydney’s The Laurels will embark on their first headline tour of the year in support of debut album Plains. Out now through Rice Is Nice, the album was recorded with Liam Judson (Belles Will Ring, Cloud Control) in two locations in rural NSW. It features new single ‘Changing The Timeline’, which was named among our Best Tracks Of 2012 (So Far).

I really like the track. it had evolved substantially by the time the Vivid performance rolled around (additional vocals and instrumentation), so I'd be guessing it's still a work in progress.
Love the choice of venue in Sydney. should make for less of a ''yew Seekae!'' crowd vibe.
