There’s been an Antipodean assault on US radio, with no less than four bands added to the CMJ radio chart overnight.
Melbourne’s The Twerps occupy the highest position, with their self-titled debut album (released last year on Chapter locally and Underwater Peoples in the US) peaking at #3. There were also spots for Kiwi singer Lawrence Arabia, with his third album The Sparrow (out locally through Spunk!) in at #5; Royal Headache’s self-titled debut (#9), which just came out in the US on What’s Your Rupture?; and Ned Collette (#19) with his second album with Wirewalker 2.
The CMJ Radio 200 Adds Chart ranks new albums added to college and non-commercial radio stations across the US.
