Bridging the gap between 2007’s orchestrated The Luxury Of Hysteria and the down-home country picking of 1999 solo debut What Rhymes With Cars And Girls comes the new single from Tim Rogers.
‘Go On Out, Get Back Home’ – a song about laying down some roots – is the first new music to emerge from forthcoming solo album Rogers Sings Rogerstein. The album was written in collaboration with an Ohio native called Shel Rogerstein, who Rogers apparently met on a train. We’re still trying to ascertain whether or not he exists.
Rogers Sings Rogerstein was produced by Shane O’Mara, who recently worked with the You Am I frontman on the soundtrack to Australian film Wish You Were Here.

sounds pretty all over the shop to be honest
I know what you mean mule, but it definitely has something to it.
Will be interesting to see how it fits into the rest of the songs on the album. A Rogers album with eclectic instrumentation could be interesting.
M+N, good luck tracking down whether or not Rogerstein exists...
Update: I've listened to this song about a dozen times over the last 3 days and really like it!
Unusual instrumentation, but the melody is brilliant. It feels like a nice reward after taking the time to appreciate the song. Tim's voice is so distinctive and sweet, in a 'warts and all' sort of way.
How/where do i listen? Can find the listen button
Found it. A bit 'everybody's talkin' cos of the banjo but it sounds like Tim Rogers and that's a good thing.
