Lasse Marhaug and Oren Ambarchi are probably the drawcards for me, but really these names mean nothing without some idea of what the panels and workshops will be.
Blues Control better be playing Melbourne
come to Newcastle
I wish D, I wish. I won't be up your way until Jan for a wedding though. Come visit Melbz again.
What's the news on sideshows and shit? I'm damn excited for Blues Control, but I don't want to be within 30 kilometres of someone talking about the industry-approved method of hiring a Tarago whilst retaining carbon neutrality or a 'making it on myspace by crocheting your merch' workshop.
Lasse Marhaug in Melbourne please!
Home Blitz/Blues Control double headliner in Melbs would be cool.
Blues Control are indeed playing Melbourne....i hear rumours about a show with Bum Creek
You also said the Morning After Girls would be playing at the Mark Gardener gig. Please stop stating rumours as facts.
Blues Control announced a national tour in Sep/Oct on their facebook. No dates yet.
Lasse Marhaug will be playing the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Thu Sept 20.
Anyone know if this will be a Cambridge or Croatian club affair?
Also, looks like no tent city for TINA this year. :(
votes for the latter
HOLY FULL LINE-UP! It is pretty damn good looking.
I would hate to miss a single act on that lineup.
best festival lineup i've ever seen
are you going up, electricsound?
they really nailed it hey? so good.
does anyone have any vibes on the production in Sound Summit's venues? I really want to catch this as the lineup's amazing, but I've seen too many gigs with not-really-amazing production / sound in Newcastle that - for me - has kinda diminished the otherwise amazing acts on offer...
I don't want that to sound like a put-down on Newcastle as it's a place full of amazing happenings, and if anything it says more about my perhaps-unreasonable fussiness than anything as I know a lot of people even prefer it a bit rough around the edges.
I repeat: I am genuinely not being a Negative Nelly, just want to hear from people who've done it and their thoughts on this. Horses for courses, perceived value for money, buyer's research blah blah.
probably can't, though maybe i need to find a way
looks like you should!
Kicking off today... should be great! Anyone know how much day tix are gonna be on the door? Same as thru website?
Did anyone get footage of Edo from Amateur Drunks singing Never Again for Royal Headache after Shogun lost his voice?
I NEED IT
