Total Control Make Sub Pop Debut

Melbourne post-punk superpower Total Control will earn the Sub Pop logo on a new 7” next month, with two exclusive tracks on offer: the as-yet-unheard ‘Scene From a Marriage’ and ‘Contract’.
Out Oct. 9 but available now for pre-order, the single extends a love affair between the iconic Seattle label and Australian music that has included feedtime, Husky, The Scientists, Cosmic Psychos and Radio Birdman. It follows the band’s international breakout 2011 album Henge Beat and comes alongside a five-track 12” on Home Loan. The latter includes a slower and spacier version of Henge Beat track ‘Carpet Rash’, as heard below.
But the 7" doesn't mean Total Control are now on the Sub Pop roster. "It's a single," frontman DX told M+N. "We're an unsigned band."
