What: I Awake by Sarah Blasko
When: October 26 through Dew Process/Universal
Key notes: Fourth studio album from Blasko, following three platinum LPs and last year’s Seeker Lover Keeper project. Self-produced in Stockholm, Sweden with Lasse Marten, who engineered and mixed 2009’s As Day Follows Night. Subsequent recording done in Sofia, Bulgaria (where Blasko has family roots on her father’s side) with the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra, using arrangements penned by Nicholas Wales. Blasko plays ukulele and piano alongside a cast of six players on bass, drums, piano, percussion, electric guitar and harp. Made after Blasko spent the first half of last year in Brighton, England “alone with my thoughts and memories. Haunted and unsettled … At times I thought this record would kill me. Honestly, it was a behemoth! There were moments I felt I would sink beneath it.”
From the presser: “An avalanche of sound, soaring and shrieking, simple and striking, to send you tumbling. I do hope it makes you feel something.”

Not enough money went into this record to my liking.
Is it a harelip's ''O'' face?
