Tame Impala Debut At #14 On UK Chart

Rolling in five-star and 9.0 reviews, Tame Impala's Lonerism has debuted at #14 on the UK album chart. That puts them in some interesting company when it comes to Aussie artists cracking the UK Top 15 in the past decade: Gotye, Crowded House, Pendulum, AC/DC, Kylie Minogue, Jet, Gabriella Cilmi, Grinderman, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, PNAU, Darren Hayes and The Vines.

Besides its perfect score in The Guardian, Lonerism has been loudly embraced in the UK by NME, The Independent, Uncut, Mojo, Q and more. In an equally telling show of wider acceptance, America's adorable PS22 Chorus yank heartstrings all over the place with their rendition of Tame's forthcoming single ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’, bringing to the surface the original's R&B inflections.

All of which sets up a pretty special December tour and Meredith slot for our boys. Onya, and so forth.
