quite a few interesting acts on at Melbourne Jazz Fest coming up! especially looking forward to James Carter Organ Trio. Guy's an absolute monster on tenor sax (and baritone and bass).

anyone else see Bilal last night? WOW! Only one who comes close is Prince. WHat a powerhouse performance. the charisma, stage presence, that voice! The drummer Steve Mckie put on a clinic too!

Kez, Pete Satchell had a solo record out a few years back called ''Pete Sounds''. Great album! It had absolutely zero press and he played a handful of shows to launch it. Track it down! (send him an email I'm sure he'll be able to send you one). He has a second album in the works too.

best local band I have seen! Kez, as far as I know Party In Hell hasn't been on any DC album. I've heard Dave Larkin do it solo a bunch of times when the band was still active.
