Sorry Shaun! With the exception of Philadelphia Grand Jury - who are completely infectious, not a lot out of Sydney has moved me this year. Anything i've seen up there or heard lately is a little bit 'meh'. If I'm looking in the wrong places by all means please enlighten me.

These guys are awesome! Probably go as far as saying most interesting band in Sydney I've heard this year. (but then that's not really saying much.)

I like to go to JB Hi Fi in Camberwell. They've got a pretty good range of stuff. And the staff there are pretty awesome. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Don't like it so much since it moved. You could kind of pretend that the old shop was your ''friendly local record store''. Dixon's in Camberwell is also pretty rad.

Totally agree! There was something charming about all the cardboard, spit stains and gaff on the carpet in that old store! That new ''Mall'' is awful and sterile. Dixon's is rad but it's always totally pilfered, not much good shit left ever.

Check out 'Alley Tunes' in Hawthorn, right near Glenferrie station - really cool like shop.

I'm pretty in love with this girl Ellie Goulding - found her on Neon Gold Blog, she's from Liverpool I think and she was like a folk sorta singer (for some reason her voice/singing style really reminds me of Brett Dennen in a strange way) and then she worked with Frankmusik and some other electro dudes in London.... am I gonna say it? I am, Folktronica. (I disgust myself.)
