Oh the joys of moving!

New apartment woes: - tap starting leaking first day, sending water all over the kitchen and toilet floor - no TV reception being right next door to a massive apartment complex - no phone line as said apartment complex next door apparently cut it in half while it was being built and no one bothered to repair it - upstairs neighbour has the footsteps of a rhino. It literally shakes my pictures on my walls - had my bins emptied and rubbish thrown around all my back area, which opens onto a laneway. Probably going to be an issue in future as well.

All first world problems but man, it's annoying.

The EA just got fired.

God this place is depressing. Can't wait to leave.

I'm going to try and take a look this weekend to see if there are any meters at the front or the back of the property.

So I got the new place and am trying to organise connection. It's a new property, a large place that's been subdivided.

So immediately, Origin doesn't like my address and says it doesn't exist in the system. I explain the situation and say it's a new property and you probably have an old address (I'm A/540, old address is 540 - 544). Origin say they can't organise a connection with a meter number. I ring real estate agent, who say the meter is locked with a key that Citipower have. I ring Citipower, who say they can't come out to look at the meter without quoting a meter number. I ring the real estate agent, explaining the situation and surely the landlord must know a lot number or something? Nope. Told to sort it out myself.

AAAAARGH! I will be moving into a house with no power!

Yeah I really lucked out with this one.

My current house has been an absolute nightmare. I've had four agents managing the property all within a year and each one has become more useless than the previous.

Fingers crossed I don't get a dickhead agent and the landlord is decent.

I must live in some weird alternate reality. Looked at an awesome place in Carlton on Saturday, applied on Sunday and got the place today no questions asked. Sign the bond tomorrow.
