You got it slothman, extremely frustrating to hear about 60% of the song as a bed then hear it again straight after. They do this in their regular hottest 100 too.

And a bunch of their little retrospectives had already been played on air in the days leading up to the countdown. Then they just played them again during the broadcast. Must be good to have nobody to challenge your ill conceived and often bafflingly stupid production ideas.

The voting was for your 20 favourite songs from the last 20 years, with the majority of votes coming from 22-25 age demo. It tends to be more about memories associated with the song than compostion so I think actually listening to it with a bunch of friends is more rewarding than reading it as a list on a page.

That said, I'd have zero interest in listening to or commenting on, say, a Triple M 100 song countdown because it's so far removed from my tastes that complaining about it would be wasted energy and noone would give a shit what I had to say about it. And rightly so.

I'm on paranoid android, but with karma police coming in at #35 I'm not so optimistic any more.
