Squirrel Bait (first album from '85)

as much as i hate any type of label on music, i think it may help me have more of a grasp on what their shtick is. they're obviously not anywhere near the realm of commercial music...their myspace says experimental/progrsv house/trance... having now thought about it a little more i've decided that it's not so much that i don't like them, i think i just didn't dig the first album. i saw them a while ago with new war, taipan tiger girls, and pearls. i had a great night. so i liked them live, but not the first album.

I'm sorry if i've offended you. I just really don't get the big deal. I bought one of their albums on vinyl based on people raving about them and also Ben Andrews recording it. Something about it just grates on me. I played the record once and then passed it on to a friend. List some pioneers of this type of music and I'll give it another go. I like silver apples...do they fall into this genre of music?
