I love the range of responses to this record almost as much as I love the record itself. Which is to say, quite a bit.

Really glad to see you like Adam, Niteshok. How did his rapey tendencies make you feel? Freaked me out. I admire and associate more with him than anyone else in any show I'm watching at the moment.

If you have even the slightest inclination to see Actress, just do it, even if supports don't turn out to be Hype Williams. His Unsound set was just stunning. I'm going again.

I'm sorry flukazoid – I can only afford to go because of free/cheap transport and accomm. Looks like there's a few folks doing sideshows here and there, too. I'll put a fiver that Actress' special guests in Sydney will be Hype Williams.

No thread yet, unless I'm mistaken. Does no-one give a hoot?

Raime was excellent last night – the stoic slow burn of last year's Quarter Turns... made infinitely more sense at full volume and with those extraordinary slow-mo projections of figures trapped in wasted industrial interiors.

Pretty sure I was blinded by Robin Fox – my phone's screen looked pink after all that green light. His set was beautiful, utterly bracing.

OPN/Hecker were excellent, too. Pretty much exactly as you'd expect, although their set wasn't improvised – tightly ordered and rehearsed, perhaps improvised in snatches.

Lustmord and Biosphere were good, too, although I'd basically passed out from exhaustion by then. Dark ambient is unsettling stuff to fall asleep to.
