''Rather than spreading this all over random threads'', that's what I was getting at - should have been clearer.

DaveDoom, not at all - just his username was enough to warn me off. You seem cut of the same cloth. I choose to interact with many people I don't know on the internet, some people know me, some don't - that's fine. I heard your duo record because it was on vacant valley and the guy who runs it is a gent, I've known of Adam's name for around ten years but didn't know he played free (was more familiar w toy orchestra, which didn't appeal). Anyway, certainly not looking for fights but I do open the thoughts up on occasion.

If I met you at a show and said the same thing over a beer, you'd listen? The opinion is the same.

Apologies for the tangent, thread, back to the topic: Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz record is still the landmark record for when I tipped from curious via Coltrane's Love Supreme and Stooges' LA Blues to becoming obsessed with jazz, primarily of the free persuasion.

Brian, I don't see the OP asking specifically for Melbourne jazz. The shameless self promotion (in all your m+n activity) is really off-putting. I like the collab w you n simmons but to me, you tarnish your own goods w a lack of class. Maybe thats the rub. I'll check out the wanders thing so you could say its working, but I generally steer clear through your online presence alone. Bit of honest feedback for you.
