Aye!

Its my kind of beer. A good alternative to the darks I mostly drink this time of year.

Off the squires website (I forgot to add how malty it is!):

The result is a brew that will have a deep red hue and a much more pronounced malty caramel and roasted malt flavour. The extended boil also concentrates the sugars giving a beer that is fuller bodied and higher in alcohol (6.7%), making it suitable as a ‘winter warmer’ for that fireside sip. Hops are used in moderation allowing the malt sweetness to dominate. In the brewing of this Wee Highlander we also used a small portion of peated malt to add a slight smokiness and malted oats to add depth of character.

Just had the Scotch Ale at The Palace Hotel in Haymarket... soooooo good! Smooth and hoppy without the bitter after taste. Wish these fancy ones stuck around longer! Would love to get a hold of the Hop Thief again.

Not a bad show tonight at all... took a while for them to warm up. Not sure if it was the right venue for them. Very dark.

Good mix of old and new songs, left the sillier one for the 2nd half of the set. Highlights: They'll need a Crane, The Guitar, Meet James Ensor, and New York City.

Maybe Newtown needs another convenience store.

Done Queenstown twice before. Had a couple of trips to NZ organised for me when I was younger, but this will be the first time booking ourselves.

The to do list includes the Bay of Islands, wine regions, Wellington, some snow areas other than QT, and wouldn't mind heading right down to Invercargill.

Looking at mid-Aug, so yeah, skiing.... but we've been given return flights as a gift, so want to use a a couple of weeks to travel and do a bit of everything.

How'd you organise yours hhh?

Anyone ever booked a package deal for NZ? Worth it? Recommend an agent?

Or better to DIY?

Bit of a late comer to his stuff... and I get the feeling he has a bit of a rep in Aus as being a pretty commercial artist... but I'm getting into his new stuff in a BIG way.

With the bass right up, 'Indicudi' is doing amazing things through these headphones!

Smooth 'n deep bass, beats, and synth. Some pretty innovative production. I need to tune out of the lyrics every now and then when he turns up his inner 'gangsta supastar'... its not the strongest lyrical effort, but the album is sufficiently varied between vocal and instrumental to stay interesting.

I'm probably making you all choke on your frootloops right?
