I don't even know where to start with your post so I won't waste my energy.

And yet you did. Completely ignoring the fact that I never claimed my degree lead me anywhere in the first place. Are you this obnoxious with everyone, or am I just the lucky one?

This course is offered at that cheap price to people without any qualification at all, as it is government subsidised, so for a 'graduate' like me it'd cost about 2 grand. Big difference! Even though it was an entirely different field.

That's how all tafe pricing works, not just this course. Pity, because I reckon the responsible gambling certificate would come in handy - in general, gaming venues pay better than other hospitality places... not that I've ever working in gaming, but since I did about 6 hospitality subjects at uni I've spoken to an awful lot of people who did.

(Actually it's more or less a give that 'arts' leads directly or indirectly to flipping burgers eventually.)

No, that's an arts degree. But a diploma? I was lucky enough to do a vocational subject at tafe during VCE - made me realise that the only thing tafe would ever qualify me for was being unemployed.

...like us on Facebook... follow us on Twitter...

I can't stand this. 'Liking' something on facebook does not mean that anyone actually gives a fuck about your band... you know that somewhere in the network there's a cucumber with 5000 times more likes than your band.

I don't think people go awesome-cunt-awesome as their band grows, the only experience I have of personally knowing people in popular bands is that they were always just really great, lovely, talented, humble, polite, friendly people (really totes awesome dudes). I figure that they do well in the music industry because of this. Kinda like, anyone with good songs can gain a moderate following but it's on the really awesome people that go on to set the world on fire, through a hell of a lot of hard honest work and being liked by everyone they need to.

Maybe I'm an idealist, but that's my experience, I like to think things work like this, so I'm sticking with it.

Ha great, I'm in a totally self-detructive and obnoxious mood. Trusted a guy, who I thought was at least a friend, but he turned around to be a total jerkface on Friday night so I took a shitload of xanax, then my memory blacks out for a while and I came to in the company of a guy who had given me his number earlier this night. I'm sure he was perfectly respectable and nothing happened... it's just that how I went from Point A to Point B is a mystery.

I'm not too worried about this self-detrctiveness, possibly the more I can forget about my life at the moment, the better. I'm not opposed to getting just as fucked up this weekend.

hayfever

Is there a ridiculous amount of pollen in the air today or is something else wrong with my health? Usually I don't get hayfever but today I've got the works.

But woolfie, please note: I am not a health professional and I'm pretty lax about popping pills now that I am required to do it daily anyway.

How much 200mg/12.8mg ibuprofen/codeine tabs can I take in a day without dying? Or expelling my insides through my rear end or something like that?

I'm no expert, but have had to pump my body full of codeine in the past to help with pain. The pharmacist advised me that a combination of two codeine/ibuprofen + two codeine/paracetemol tablets every four hours (or whatever the recommended frequency is) was okay - basically a double dose but at the same time apart as recommended. I think it's more essential to watch your paracetemol & ibuprofen intake - paracetemol because it screws with your liver, ibuprofen if you're like me, because I'm susceptible to gastritis if I take too much. So combine the two different types, rather than taking a double dose of one type.

I think the biggest risk with codeine is addiction and drowsiness, so make sure you're somewhere nice and safe and won't need to drive, and only use it short-term.

A side-effect of codeine is constipation, so expelling your insides shouldn't be a worry.
