Muddy Spurs + Telecom @ IdGAFF
Discussion I Made about 6 years ago
Friday October 13 at the idGAFF bar and venue
160 Hoddle Street Abbotsford
From the Muddy Spurs mailing list:
The spurs play on Friday 13 at 9pm at IDGAFF, 160 Hoddle Street Abbotsford. The date, the venue and the band would make for a frightening evening indeed if it weren't for the likes of indy rock outfit Telecom, who will be opening the show. So the night will begin with you sitting in the back of a mini with an attractive hot girl but will end with the girl morphing into a three headed monster. The middle head will be wearing a cowgirl hat. And no it won't have three sets of boobs ya weirdo.
Kind regards,
Catherine
So yeah, what she said.

All About Me
Buy TELECOM'S DEBUT EP Modern Adventures Online
TELECOM are a four piece indie-rock band who broke onto the Melbourne live-music scene in May 2005. Utilising two guitars (Darren Levin, Nick Roe), one lead-bass player (Gregory Erdstein) and one drum kit, with included cymbals (Blake Williams), they feature ex members of several bands that both you and they have not heard of.
If you can imagine Dinosaur Jr. as a Sonic Youth cover band, trying to play the music of The Pixies while fronted by Bruce Springsteen, you must have quite an imagination. TELECOM have quite an imagination too, but they harness it for the purposes of writing music, rather than dreaming up farcical super-groups that will never exist.
