I actually like the message in that song - why are some people born beautiful & others not? I think every day that I'm lucky to be born in this country & not somewhere empoverished & third world. I think they've made a mistake by dating it with a temporary pop culture reference though. They could have used generic non-specific names & then filled the filmclip with images of other beautiful & privileged celebrity couples (not that they should 'cos they're breaching copyright & all, unless they HAVE obtained permission for each & every image used).

I read this thread from the bottom up and given I refer to boobs as 'nangs, was also confused. I thought a bloke sucking on some DD's on stage was probably borderline inappropriate.

Speaking of nanny state, I very much doubt the band obtained permission to use the various photos in their filmclip & I'm pretty sure most if not all are not in the public domain. Just sayin'.

Personally I love Maron's rants because he's constantly evolving. He's very aware of (most of) his flaws & is very honest about them. He's also very articulate & makes mundane things entertaining. One of my favourite of his rants was 10 minutes flicking through a homeware catalogue talking about what he'd like to buy & what he'd do with it in his home.

Listening to it now. Very reflective & soothing. Her voice has aged a bit which is disappointing for those of us stuck in the dark ages (but I'm getting used to the change in her tone).

I watched Rise of the Planet of the Apea on the weekend. I really wanted to believe it was an allegory for the plight of a repressed race but it's highly unlikely. Oh well, at least James Franco is hot.
