Hey this is what I do now...

Heaps Decent is a charity I run with my friend Nina Agzarian, we run music workshops in juvenile detention centres, at schools and community centres for underpriveleged youth. We teach songwriting, beatmaking, recording and DJing and try to release as much as we can to get more exposure for the young artists we're working with. We also work towards establishing Indigenous artists.

While the news of his passing was an awful shock, it has been pretty incredible reading everyone's reflections on Adam here.

I remember working at the Popfrenzy record store Gifted Records, which opened around the same time as Sound & Fury, which was around the corner. We'd visit Adam a lot and he'd visit ours, his hilarious cynicism would always make me laugh about the fairly low amount of success both the record stores were enjoying. I bought the Lightning Bolt DVD off him - and I think actually own one of those 5 Moonmilk CDs, which I must've bought from there too. I loved how much effort he put into supporting local demoes, releases and zines.

He put on a few great, incredibly noisy shows at The Mandarin Club while I worked there too. I'm sure there will be strange walls of noise that I'll hear in my life that will always remind me of Adam and the kind of music he loved.
